This is the last day of 2016 and tomorrow will mark the last day to enjoy the wonderful 2016 Grinchmas event that Universal has in store for its guests. The main action is taking place at the Universal Plaza area that is magically transformed, at this time of year, to a Who-ville inspired experience, complete with Kiosks with delicious treats, beverages, photo opportunities locations and more. In the middle of it all, at the center stage there is a selection of four whimsical, cheerful shows celebrating Grinchmas at its best.

These are our top 5 Grinchmas experiences at Universal Studios Hollywood:

5. Character meet and greet

The star of meet and greet is of course The Grinch himself. The Grinch looks really amazing and very authentic. In addition you can take your picture taken with The Grinch’s loyal dog Max. There are also very cute and colorful Whos that randomly surprise guests and create some heart warming funny moments. Really nice. You can even find the Who-ville Taxi Cab as seen in the movie!

4. Martha May and the Who-Dolls

Martha May and the Who-dolls perform holiday favorites in this vibrant, exciting show.

3. Studio Tour with a huge surprise!

The star of any visit to Universal Studios Hollywood is of course its Studio Tour. New to this year is the addition of Fast & Furious – Supercharged which has really impressed everyone, in addition to the amazing King Kong 360 3-D. At Grinchmas, there is a huge surprise at the real set of Who-ville as it comes alive with an exciting performance by the The Grinch and Whos.

2. Wholiday Singers

When we visited, there was a wonderful cappella boy band  type group called the Who-ville Five. Their performance got the most attention from the audience with their wonderful singing and playfulness.  They invite some people to go on stage as well as get closer and interact with the audience. As a side note- the Who-ville Five looked really cute in their Whos makeup!

1. Wholiday Christmas Lighting

As with most Christmas events – the lighting of the Christmas tree is the moment everyone is waiting for. The huge 60 foot tree at Universal Studios Hollywood looks absolutely fantastic with its unique twisted curves and look. The story of the Wholiday tree lighting is also very cute with The Grinch mischievously causing some last minute tricks, but we all know that in the end, everyone can see how the tree beautifully lights up with thousands of colors!

Amazing new attractions

For those who haven’t been to Universal Studios Hollywood recently- this is one of the best times to visit. There are numerous new attractions, which are just fantastic. The top ones are the West Coast version of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which has some unique elements such as an enhanced, more exciting Flight of the Hippogriff family roller coaster ride and an additional side street.

The newest attraction which impressed us the most is The Walking Dead Attraction. If you’re a fan of Halloween Horror Nights you’ll be sure to enjoy this – as it’s a haunted house type attraction which recreates scenes from the popular series. Because the attraction operates all year round – the sets, characters and attention to detail is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Simply unbelievable!

Grinchmas is here (and so are we)!

Universal Studios Hollywood delivers an amazing Christmas event with Grinchmas. The theme park as a whole is now packed with great additions this year and when you consider that the event is included with the regular price of admission – this is absolutely the perfect time to visit and get an amazing value and unique holiday experience.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
